In traditional learning students can easily approach lecturer if they have some question and can get straight away explanation from the lecturer. By having this, students can have better personal interaction with the lecturer as well. In contrast, if in online learning, students can get information easily, no boundaries of information, and up-to-date news.

In conclusion there are various factors to consider when deciding the best type of learning for particular students. One of these types of deciding was their effectiveness level. In online type of learning it suitable for student who cannot focus in a long time period of learning. Student can rewind the playback to listen again of what the lecturer told them. But there is also negative part in online learning which is easier for student to miss classes because it is through online and not using attendance as what they have in traditional learning system. In contrast, traditional type of learning will make student to become more discipline. This discipline not just for student’s attendance, but also for student to be handed their work on time. But for those who are still confuse of choosing whether to choose online learning or traditional learning there are still mix between traditional learning which also have online learning that the university are adapting.

Despite the similarities above, there are significant differences between the two types of learning that must be considered before making a decision as to which method to choose. The most significant differences can be categorized into three: method, setting and convenience. These three categories will be mention below.

With regard to methodology, on online learning student and teacher can get video conference. There will be stated in the syllabus from the University for determining how many times in a week that they meet through online. However, in traditional learning students are literally going to campus for their schedule. Students will be given group work task that need the students to be gathered around and doing their group work together which makes students to become socialize and know better of their friend’s personality. “It usually differs on information delivery and student learning assessment” (Anderson, 2012). By looking at the above statement it means that traditional learning has advantages on information delivery toward student and their learning assessment.

Another difference between the two types of learning that is related to methodology is the setting. In setting for traditional learning will be that students will be seat in a classroom to learn and listen to the lecturer. In contrast, in online learning students can sit in home to learn of what the lecturer said through online or video conference. “Binus online learning offers various benefits such as flexibility, quality, and global learning” (Prof. Dr. Ir. Prabowo, H. (2011). By looking at the above statement it means that online learning has several benefits for students.

               Education is now being more importance for our future life. For gaining knowledge, there are two types: online and traditional. Before online learning comes out, we only have traditional learning as a tool to guide our self in this world. Online learning is the new method in developing countries. First time online learning shows up is in the developed countries. Now more and more international universities in developing countries are following this method. “The delivery of a learning, training or education program by electronic means. E-learning involves the use of a computer or electronic device (e.g. a mobile phone) in some way to provide training, educational or learning material”. (Stockley, 2003). From the definition, online learning can be categorized as gaining knowledge but through using other media as the tools to deliver the information.  Children and students who write by hand learn better than those who type, a study shows. (Alleyne, 2011). From the definition, traditional learning can make student to become more remember of what they learn by writing it with their hand. With online learning, it is easier to gain up-to-date information, mobilize information that can be downloaded from virtually anywhere, and there are no boundaries of information that can be accessed anywhere. Meanwhile, traditional learning involves learning from textbooks, seating in a classroom, and direct instruction by lecturer. International universities in developing countries are now having mix between online and traditional learning. Goal was to increase knowledge (both online and traditional); student will be more in special field. Instructive kind of education from someone who expert in the subject to instruct of guide the student which is probably given better in classroom that been direct by lecturer in traditional learning. Material because of tend to be the same, for example if learning math, basic concepts are still the same and textbook are also the same.

Recent news regard Lady Gaga concert

          In the recent time of Lady Gaga concert that has many controversy since the beginning of the planning that there will be concert on 3 May 2012 at Jakarta. The plan of this concert was it will be held on Gelora Bung Karno at Senayan Jakarta. Today, Big Daddy as the event organizer has made their mind to cancel Lady Gaga concert on 3 May 2012.

            It can be because of many activists that will take reaction if they still held Lady Gaga concert in Jakarta, Indonesia. Police and other government institution also did not agree if Lady Gaga held their concert in Jakarta. FPI also plan to mess if the concert is still running or in the other word they will make cancelation in forces if the concert is still held on the chosen date. Tickets probably will be return to the buyer looking to what happen in the previous cancelation such as Manchester United in the previous time.

Lady Gaga concert

          There are some controversies regarding of concert that are plan to be held on 3 May 2012. Concert that was having controversy was Lady Gaga as the singer. Some people have been said that Lady Gaga has made bad comment about religious effect. Lady Gaga has made bad impression toward youth community. Not just in Indonesia, the concert of Born This Way tour world had also faced the same problem in Myanmar.

            In Myanmar, there is also demonstration that took place regarding of activist that did not want of Lady Gaga concert to be held in their country. They believe that if Lady Gaga concert is held in there, there will be bad influence toward youth society. They believe that Lady Gaga was having Satan influence. Because there was cancelation of concert in Myanmar, then concert move to Thailand. In Indonesia, the event organizer is still selling tickets although many activist including police intervene to this situation.

Today is the day where hand over victim of Sukhoi from investigator to family

             Today there will be forty five victim of Sukhoi crash that been hand over from investigator to family. As of the complete DVI (Disaster Victim Identification) of matching DNA from the victim with their family has been match up. So they will hand over the victim dead body to their family. Although it takes thirteen days since the crash of Sukhoi Super jet which is Wednesday 9 May 2012 until today, but it is an effort of DVI team to identify the victim.

            Families of the victim had been gathered around the Police Hospital (RS Polri) to bring home their family. From all forty five passengers, ten of them are foreign passengers (eight of them are Russian citizen, one of them is United States citizen, and one of them is France citizen), meanwhile the rest are Indonesian citizen. Victim that had been already identified were ready to hand over to their family. Hopefully this tragedy will not happen again in the future.

Island struggle between Philippine and China

          In the recent time there was island struggle between Philippine and China. Scarborough Shoal was the name of the small island that was in struggle between Philippine and China. China names the island as Huangyan Island. This island has natural fossil in massive amount. This small island was located in the South China Sea.

            Philippine government asks for United States for help of military forces to against with China military forces. This island that located in South China Sea was also the major road for sailing purposes for exchange purpose also. Hopefully there will be no war.
